Round Roof Barn Renovation
An interesting barn renovation project by Ekocite Architecture. View the progress of the project below; visit back again as photos will be added as the job continues to develop.

Construction Supervisor and Timber Framer for the round roof barn; Eagle Bay Stick and Timber Frames.

This beautiful barn has been deteriorating for years. The roof was old and many of the siding boards are missing. The barn was threatening to callapse due to water damage and much of the siding blown out from old age and wind.  Thankfully the new owner's of the barn are restoring it to its original construction.  The restored barn will still function as a barn, specifically for horses (and family gatherings).

You can read more about the round roof barn project on the Romeo Observer web site at www.romeoobserver.com for the July 17th, 2002 paper; article title; Barn Renovation is a Dream Complete for Nikokic's.

The restoration starts with the base, repairing the foundation but first the barn is raised ( with jacks and shoring) so they can work under the barn's upper structure.

Here you can see the barn being brought back down to the new foundation.
